Praying for south Kyrgyzstan

June 10, 2017

The team is in a very religious area of Kyrgyzstan, where there has previously been racial strife.  Ask God to open hearts amongst both Kyrgyz and Uzbeks there.  Pray protection for the team as well.  Thanks!

The team in Albania spent Thursday to Saturday rehearsing music, dance, and "The Gardener" drama. They had a lot of things to organise before they could start performances and they've been grateful for David, the tour leader, who has provided them all of the time and resources they've needed to get their performance ready. They have also really been enjoying the devotions they have been doing...

Air Freshener 226x150As part of helping new team members understand the culture of the country they find themselves in, I took a new guy to visit a local mosque last Friday. It's actually been quite a while since I've sat inside a mosque for Friday prayers so it was...

Thankfully Chris was well enough to perform and his operatic voice was a hit. Erin debuted a classical clarinet...

It has exposed some issues that have needed to be addressed for quite some time. It's been tough but will be good in the long run and will hopefully allow partnership with the Kyrgyz team here to continue with more accountability....

Greetings from Kyrgyzstan!

Saturday morning we had a show at an orphanage near Tokmok. It's in a village of about 500 and everyone is in some way connected to the orphanage that houses 110 kids. When we started picking up sticks and debris from the "stage" area just before show time, about 20 kids immediately jumped up and helped. A few dogs were running around during the show but only once did...
